CBD & IHP
What is CBD?
Short for cannabidiol, CBD is the second most abundant cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. When introduced into the body, these cannabinoids promote cell response to create balance within and between all of the bodies inner systems. CBD does not have any intoxicating effects and is completely safe for use and consumption.
We only process DOA certified hemp and test at every step of the way for quality assurance.
What is the difference between THC & CBD?
CBD and THC are two of many natural compounds found in the hemp plant. Both have the same molecular structure, yet they have different impacts on your body due to a slight difference in how the atoms are arranged. Both CBD and THC interact with the cannabinoid receptors in the human body, impacting the release of neurotransmitters in your brain. These neurotransmitters are the chemicals which are responsible for cell communication.
THC is best known for its mind-altering euphoria, CBD on the other hand is non-intoxicating.
CBD + ECS (Endocannabinoid system)
The endocannabinoid system behaves as a regulator for various brain & body functions as well as promotes overall homeostasis - ensuring all systems are working to their best abilities. When cannabinoids are introduced to the ECS they interact with receptors to activate the healthy flow of these vital functions.
The two major types of cannabinoid receptors are CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are abundant throughout the body but are most prevalent in the brain, CNS (Central Nervous System) intestines and glands. CB2 receptors are more scattered throughout the body, and make a strong impact on immune cells, gastrointestinal tract, and peripheral nervous systems. CB2 receptors are eminently known their anti-inflammatory properties. These receptors reside inside of the ECS waiting for cannabinoids to enter so that they can connect and communicate with cells to activate positive body function.
What are the benefits of CBD?
Due to the current federal regulations on hemp, we cannot legally make any health claims about cannabidiol, but encourage you to research the experience of others with this amazing compound.
